Application Single-phase static electricity meters of the seriesDTS-O are dedicated for invoicing of active electrical energy, when meter is connected directly or through instrumental CT. They can be used for measurements in residential, commercial or industrial premises. Description Single-phase static electricity meters of the series DTS-Oare designed as more functional replacement of electromechanical meters with LCD using up-to date types of specialized ICs, permitting higher precision and higher functionality. Particular attention has been paid to reliable connection of the meter to the measured network in current and voltage circuit(s). Voltage input is through a resistor divider, with protection against surges and voltage waves. Supplying source may be adjusted to the measured network in such a way, that even extreme voltage drops do not influence meter function (even despite of small increasing of own consumption, but within permitted limits). Input current converter is CT or shunt, permitting to reach linearity in great range, as well as signals with high volume of dc component. There can be performed also another current input, what is used for measurement of returning current in the neutral (it removes influence of tampering case with exchange of current leads and partial burden earthing). The meters are adjustable in two ways: older design through calibration network, the newer through software, deliverable together with the meters batches. Processing of input measured values is performed by up-to-date dedicated IC, what output is SPI interface. Measured active energy values are shown on LCD, used instead of mechanical register. Test impulses are indicated by red LED. Beside test LED the meter can be equipped with other signal LED (voltage presence, exchange of current leads, presence of extensive magnetic fields etc.). The meters are equipped with impulse output (passive type) for remote data transmission.
