thermal break application is an energy conservation, typical application are in door and window products for residential and commercial construction. the system utilizes a high-density solid polyurethane polymer aspecially created cavity in the extrusion is polyurethane filled and then machined to cut away the aluminum bottom of th cavity breaking the continous aluminum of the profile creating the required thermal barrier. thermal break assembly machine has three part: knurling part, injecting part, debridge part knurling part is used for knurling the notch , after knurling, in notch of extusion profiles, there are some teeth, teeth can increase composite force between polyurethane and extrusion profiles. after knurling, injecting the polyurethane in notch of extrusion profiles where has been knurled. after injection, extrusion profiles not onlyconnect by polyurethane , but also connect by aluminum web. debridge part is used for cutting the aluminum web, after cutting, the extrusion profiles just connect by polyurethane. then this extrusion profiles has the function of thermal break. why we have to use thermal break extrusion profiles? because thermal conductivity of aluminum is very high, but thermal conductivity of polyurethane is very low, then we inject polyurethane between extrusion profiles, then the polyurethane can stop heat transfer advantage: the thermal break assembly aluminum profiles has good sealing, water-proofing
