Tempered glass

Tempered glass is made by heating flat glass to approach its softening temperature and suddenly chilling it with jets of cold air, which distributes compression stress on the glass surfaces while tensile stress in the middle of glass. The counteraction of compression stress and tensile stress provides a very higher strength for tempered glass. Even if it breaks, the glass fragments will be in the form of small particles which do not pose a real danger. Features: 5 times more harder than ordinary annealed glass. It can withstand a very wide range of repid temperature changing. No tong marks on the glass as TC adopts the horizontally tempering process. Once breakage occurs, the glass disintegrates into small cubical fragments which are relatively harmless to human body.
