STLL-7 Fully Automatic Softening Point Tester
1. Application:
This softening point tester is used to test the asphalt softening temperature to determine the asphalt's visvosity and heat resistance. It is suitable for the asphalt materials liksticky petroleum asphalt, sticky shale asphalt, hard coal asphalt and soft coal asphalt.
2. Principle:
Use ball and ring method to test the sticky petrolum asphalt's softening point. Put the asphalt specimen in the specified brass ring, and put the specified size and weight steel ball onto it. Put them into the water or glycerin, heating up with the speed of 5±0.5oC/min until the steel ball sink to the specified distance (25mm) this temperature is the softening point of the specimen.
