Characteristic SSR is a contactless switch compromising of SOLID STATE components, its feature: safe, high-reliability, contactless, non-spark, non-pollutant, excellent insulation & withstanding high voltage(2.5KV), speed swich-over, and can match for digital-circuit. With sealing with fireproof epoxy, so it is of withstanding voltage, moisture proof, antisepsis and aseismatic aseismatic and so on. SSR will be conductive when the voltage is zero. And will cut off when the polential is zero, Can get a full sine wave on the load. Therefore the radio interfere from circuit is very little, so can lower the counter electromotive force from the inductancing load(e.g.fan,3-phase motor etc.), and can lower the surge-current when drive the inductancing load(e.g.incandescent lamp) Usage application of SSR The terminal from screw of SSRseries SOLID STATE RELAYS, is of high strength, impact-resistant, anti-vibration, little input current can make it contanct with computer terminal or digital control circuit, and widely used in all kinds of field e.g.instrument, machinery, digital-control machine tool and automatizating-equipment, and it is a substitute of AC & DC contactor. Load current can't exceed 60% of rated current in resistive-load circuit 2. Load current can't exceed 60% of rated current in inductive or capacitive-load Ciecuit. When it is used to control inductive load, must consider the startup of the load: because the inductive load must bear a 6-time of anti peak value voltage. 3. When a current pass the SSR, the SSR will have a voltage-lower, so it will generate a joule-heat, especially a larger current, it needs a radiator when the current is 10A, while the current is larger than 40A, it needs water-cooling or fan-cooling 4. Overcurrent or short-circuit will result in a permanent damage for the controlled silicon of SSR, therefore must have a fast-acting fuse device, or circuit-breaker. 5. Can parallel connecte a voltage-sensitivity resistor (piezoresistance)for over voltage protection. The voltage-sensitivity resistor also can be built in SSR as requested.
