Brief of the equipmentYQG Series of Soft Start Starteris applicable for voltage drop soft start of medium and large high voltage squirrel cage type alternating current asynchronous motors or synchronous motors of 3-phase alternating current 3 KV, 6 KV, 10 KV. It works by changing resistance of liquid resistors that are connected in stator loop in series, thus starting voltage of motors increases as slip of motors decreases. Starting current is kept at three times of rated current to realize soft start of motors.II. Performance and features2.1 The equipment is characterized by its little & constant starting current and growing torque during start. It has advantages in starting performance over starting reactor.2.2It has little impact on power network. Reliable operation of power network can be ensured2.3 Starting current is about 1.5-3.5 times of rated current.2.4 It can work continuously for 2-3 times.2.5 Starting is smooth, mechanical stress impact is little.
