RS6601 series of fiber ranger

RS6601 series of fiber ranger is a high performance optical fiber troubleshooter for locating fiber connector, break and imperfections. By injecting narrow-width pulse through the fiber or cable under test and by measuring the power of reflected pulse, it detects event locations in the optical fiber and displays the results on the backlighted LCD display. The ranger incorporates battery monitoring circuitry to manage the discharge and inform the user when the battery charge is approaching an unsatisfactory level, indicating to the user that the batteries need recharging. To save battery energy, it also has the function of automatic shut-down. The ranger is equipped with a large-size data storage chip connected to a RS232 export, which enables customers to transmit testing data to computers for further analysis. Just like simplified OTDR but light in weight and easy to use, the series of rangers is ideal for fiber cable troubleshooting, repairing, and restoration in laying and maintaining WAN, LAN, CATV systems both in field and laboratory situations.
