Filler for injection moulding application TA36– pelletized concentrate made by extrusion method, is a product of complex chemical composition, formed by the mix of natural and chemical components. It is a blend of fine mesh talc and polypropylene resin. The masterbatch is intended for filling and modification of polypropylene products. The main component that determines the properties of the masterbatch as well as improved properties of finished PP products is talc with ultrafine sized particles. Application TA36 is applied in production of extruded and injection molded polypropylene products such as tapes, sheets (including cell sheets), transport packaging (containers, tanks, trays etc.), pipes and so on. Recommended filling ratio: 5-40% depending on the specific product. Application advantages Improvement in physical and mechanical properties: Increase in stiffness (flexural modulus). The form of talc platelets promotes this most effectively. Increase in tensile strength Increase of creeping resistance (i.e. pipes deformation under long-term load, e.g. under soil load) Increase of scratching resistance – natural purity and softness of talc platelets promotes increase of slip of the objects subject to scratching. Reduces equipment wear due to low abrasion of talc platelets (talc’s Mohs hardness is only 1) Increase in production output due to talc’s high thermal conductivity as compared to the one of virgin polymer.
