INTRODUCTION The JD's C.alb rapid test kit is an immunochromatography based one step in vitro test and intended for the qualitative detection of out of membranes proteins ( OMP) of Candida Albican ( C.alb) antigens in one vaginal swab. Candida is the scientific name for yeast. It is a fungus that lives almost everywhere, including in your body. Usually, your immune system keeps yeast under control. However, in people with AIDS or other diseases that weaken the immune system, Candida infections can be difficult to treat and can return after treatment. In people with weakened immune systems, candidiasis can be life threatening if it passes into the blood and spreads to vital organs.
