Hammer ® - Ground Granulate Blast Furnace Slag Powder Ground Granulate Blast Furnace Slag Powder is a by-product from iron production in blast furnaces. The blast furnace naturally separates from the iron, then collected and cooled with large amount of cold water. This quenching process leads to transformation of liquid into small sized particles having amorphous particles structure. The major use of Ground Granulate Blast Furnace Slag Powder applies to ready-mixed concrete. During the production of ready-mixed concrete, Ground Granulate Blast Furnace Slag Powder replaces about 50% of normal Portland cement content, generally about 50%, but sometimes up to 70%. The higher the proportion, the better is the durability. The disadvantage of the higher replacement level is that early-age strength development is somewhat slower. Ground Granulate Blast Furnace Slag Powder is also used in other forms of concrete, including site-batched and precast.Xiamen Bentonite International Corporation (XBIC) is a leading supplier of Ground Granulate Blast Furnace Slag Powder, and our annual output of Hammer ® - Ground Granulate Blast Furnace Slag Powder is nearly 300,000mt, which is produced in conformance with the BS 6699: 1992 and BS EN 15167-1: 2006 specification, and the quality is controlled and monitored throughout the entire production process to ensure that it meets or exceeds the specification requirements.Chemical Composition BS 6699: 1992 BS EN 15167: 2006GB/T18046-2008(S95) Test ResultsInsoluble residuemax. 1.50%-max. 1.50%0.18%Loss on ignitionmax. 3.00%max. 3.00%max. 3.00%0.28%Magnesium oxide (MgO)max. 14.00%max. 18.00%max. 14.00%12.14%Sulphur (S2-)max. 2.00%max. 2.00%max. 2.00%1.05%Sulphate (SO3)max. 2.50%max. 2.50%max. 2.50%0.22%Manganese (Mn2O3)max. 2.00%-max. 2.00%0.13%Chloride (Cl-)max. 0.10%max. 0.10%max. 0.10%0.01%Moisture contentmax. 1.00%max. 1.00%max. 1.00%0.05%SiO2 + CaO + MgOmin. 67.00%--82.45%(CaO+MgO) / (SiO2)min. 1.00-min. 1.001.5(CaO) / (SiO2)max. 1.40-max. 1.401.2Physical Properties BS 6699: 1992 BS EN 15167: 2006GB/T18406-2008(S95) TestResultsGlass content--min. 85.00%98.70%Density--min. 2.80 g/cm32.89 g/cm3Fineness-blainemin. 275.00 m2/kgmin. 275.0 m2/kgmin. 400.0 m2/kg453.1 m2/kgSoundness - Le chatelier methodmax. 10.00 mm-max. 10.00 mm1.00 mmInitial setting time, vicat, minutesNot less thanPortland cement--276Mortar compressive strength-at 03 days---13.5 N/mm2Mortar compressive strength-at 07 daysmin. 12.0 N/mm2-min. 12.0 N/mm230.0 N/mm2Mortar compressive strength-at 28 daysmin. 32.5 N/mm2-min. 32.5 N/mm253.0 N/mm2Activity index-at 03 days---58.00%Activity index-at 07 days-min. 45.00%min. 75.00%83.00%Activity index-at 28 days-min. 70.00%min. 95.00%106.00% Packaging Packed in 1500kgs jumbo pp bag with pe liner18bags / 27mt into 1 x 20ft.container.
