Green tea extract contains polyphenols, alkaloids etc. The primary polyphenols are catechins, which include ±C, epicatechin (EC), epigallocatechin(EGC), epicatechin gattate(ECG), epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG), CG, GC, etc. Alkaloids including caffeine, theophylline, theobromine are the limited composition in green tea extract.
The extract of green tea has extensive biological activity including anti-oxidation, preventing senescence, anti-cancer & anti-mutation, preventing atheroscleorsis and disease of heart vessel, inhibiting harmful bacteria in body, anti-virus, preventing diabetes, anti-caries etc.
