Float glass is a sheet of glass made by floating molten glass on a bed of molten tin. This method gives the sheet uniform thickness and very flat surfaces. Modern windows are made from float glass. Most float glass is soda-lime glass, but relatively minor quantities of specialty borosilicate and flat panel display glass are also produced using the float glass process. The process of the float glass is completed in the tin bath which full with N2 and H2.The material of the glass melt in the furnace and then it becomes glass fluid, after clarifying and cooling down, the glass fluid comes into the tin bath from the furnace. With the protection of the N2 and H2, use the top roll machine to control the glass fluid, the glass fluid floats on the tin fluid to mold. And then it comes to the lift roller, with the roller rotating, the glass get into the annealing to cool down, and then to the conveyors and we can cut and packing them. The surface is also smooth and flat. The float glass mainly be used for construction and decoration such as windows, door, and it can be tempered, used for the auto windows.
