The entire operation, from product in-feed and forming to finished product, is automatically performed, requiring the operator only to add material. Straight straws supplied in the hopper at the top of machine are fed one by one into the main drum of the machine and clamped by 2 mechanical catches. As the main drum rotates, the straw passes through 2 rotary dies to undergo a die-pressed processing, and is then compressed with 2 catches to become flexible. It is then delivered to the output conveyor automatically. The main drum always carries 12 straws in successive and different operation. This development represents a giant step forward for higher production of flexible straws.
