Ferrochrome Lignosulfonate (FCLS)1. products introduction: FCLS is a specially prepared thinner and fluid loss control agent used in drilling fluids. It has good high temperature tolerance, and electrolyte resisting properties as well as good compatibility. 2. Main Specifications: Appearance:backish brown powderMaterial insolution to water:2.5% max.Moisture:8.5% max.Calcium sulfate:3.0% max.Total Fe:2.5 - 3.8%Total Cr:3.0 - 3.8%Cr complex:75% min.3. Features: FCLS is an excellent all-purpose deflocculant and fluid-loss-control agent. It is effective for viscosity control and fluid loss reduction in all water-base mud systems, including freshwater, brackish water, seawater, salt, lime, gyp and potassium systems. FCLS has superior deflocculating capabilities, even in the presence of contaminants and elevated temperatures. It is effective at temperature in excess of 150 (302). Due to the product's low pH, treatments require additional caustic soda or an alternative alkaline material, to maintain a consistent pH. FCLS is most effective in mud systems with an alkaline pH in the range of 9 to 11. 4. Functions 1. Excellent thinning performance, filtration control capacity and powerful electrolyte resisting capacity. It is suitable to all kinds of mud. 2. Effective at temperatures of more than 150-160. It can also be used at temperature of above 200 when combined with lignite derivatives and other temperature-resisting chemicals. 3. FCLS is a good emulsifier for oil in water mud. 5. Applications FCLS may be added to drilling fluids either in the form of solution or powder, keeping PH between 9.5-10.5. As a thinner it is used with a dosage of 0.5-1.0, as a fluid loss control agent its dosage should be 2-5. 6. .Packaging: 25 Kg (net weight) per bag, packaged in moisture proof multi-wall paper bags with PE film lining inside
