The deforming and arching resistance of curved solid wood floorings is based on the following mechanics: A) Weakening the stress in the wood fiber As we know, wood floor arches due to the stress from the moist wood fiber. The more and longer the fiber is, the bigger the stress is, and its easier to arch. The curved flooring reduces the stress of wood fibers near the flooring joints by cutting the fibers shorter, thus the flooring does not arch. B) Increasing the interlock strength. Usually the flooring is straight and the joint side is formed by one line between two pieces flooring. But for curve floor, there are more joint sides which make it like a surface which can enhance the interlock strength. C) Offsetting the stress between two pieces flooring Generally, the moist wood fiber is easily deformed, when the floorings are jointed with straight-edge, the wood fiber of these two floorings have the same deformation direction, so it is very easy to arch. As for the curved floor, the wood fiber cut-off in the joint part makes the fiber line in two axle direction" at the upper and lower part, this can lead to the mutual offset by strength, so it is not easy to arch. D) Making the joint flooring not easy to rotate or arch with two axles . Straight floor is interlocked in one line and there is only one axle. Its easy to rotate or arch. Whereas curved floor has two axles, if you line up the upper and lower joint part, then two axles are formed, with two axles the curved floor is not easy to rotate or arch. E) Enlarging the interface of the joint. As compared with the linear floor of the same length and thickness, the interface of the curved floor is larger than the linear floor. The larger the interface is, the firmer the floor is. 4 sides tongue and groove with micro bevel.
