EDTA acid

It is a kind of important complexing agent. With broad applications, EDTA can be used as bleach-fix bath to develop color sensitive materials, dyeing assistants, fibre treatment assistants, cosmetic additives, anti-coagulant agents, detergents, stabilizers and polymerization initiators for synthetic rubber. EDTA is the representative material of chelating agents. It can produce stable water-soluble complexes with alkali metals, rare earth elements and transition metals. Besides sodium salt, there are other salts like ammonium salt, iron salt, magnesium salt, calcium salt, copper salt, manganese salt, zinc salt, cobalt salt and aluminum salt which have different applications. EDTA can also be used to quickly detoxify harmful radioactive metals in human bodies. It is also a water treatment agent.
