Dual Plate Check Valve

1) With the plate bumper at the centre of mass, when the bumper of each plate collides, there is an equal and opposite force acting on the plates which prevents significant bending moments acting on the hinge pin of the plate. Plate bumpers are supplied as standard on all sizes, pressures and types of VETZ Dual Plate Check Valves. Clearance on the bumper allow and ensure the plates to hit each other rather than the stop pin. This helps prevent large forces being exerted on the stop pin which could cause damage.2) Graphite gaskets are used for fire funcation for retaining plug type.3) Due to the clearance between the plate hinge and the hinge pin the heel of the plate lifts with the initial flow, as the foot of the spring acts beyond the centre of pressure of the plate, as the flow then increases through the valve the plates open without the heels of the plate scuffing the body seat, which lengthenes the seat life.4) Nickel-basic material Springs are used to ensure the plates are able to be closed tightly automatically every time.5) VETZ dual plate check valves can carry out 0 leakage perfect performance since the plates are lapped with body one matching one and success to overcome the shortages of metal to metal / D seats.6) Retainless design is also available which is Not only does the retainerless design provide a higher integrity pressure vessel – no screwed plugs, this design enables the valve to be disassembled very quickly without the use of force or special tools other than an Allen wrench.7) VETZ dual plate check valve line is offered in flanged, wafer, lug, solid and hub end body configurations, 1/2" thru 48", Class 150 and 2500 and available in Regular or Full port.
