DRI making using Iron Ore Fines and Coal Fines in the cleanest form and the highest grade of Metallization in the Tunnel KilnThe latest technology in the DRI (Sponge Iron) making is utilizing the Iron Ore Fines directly to produce the Sponge Iron( DRI) and subsequently producing the CBI cold brquetted Iron, which has the multiple benefits, like: 1) High Degree of Metallization 2) Low Processing cost over the Rotary Kiln Technology 3) Low Invetsment 4) Low Maintenance 5) Longer non stop Kiln Working as no Accretion is there. 6) High Bulk Density ( >4.5 gm/cc) resulting in High Shelf Life, no reaction with water. 7) Replacement of Scrap. And amny more. The Iron Ore is filled in the Silicon Carbide Containers and Placed in the tunnel Kiln or Bogie-Hearth Furnace for reduction. The product carries the Highest degree of Metalization (>93%). The produced Sponge Iron is then pressed to form a Tablet of 4inches, which is called as Cold Briquetted Iron (CBI). The CBI is having the greatest advantage over theConventional Sponge Iron, which is been produced by Rotary Kiln, that is the Shelf Life. Normally, the Sponge Iron can not be kept for longer time in the open air, as it gets reactedwith water, andas being the exothermic reaction of the Oxidation, sometimes it catches the fire too, and backward reactionsstart taking place, But CBI does not have any such effect, so it can be kept for longer time, same as HBI or Pig Iron.
