Cobalt based PCD wire drawing die (thermally stable to 700°C) The cobalt based self-supported PCD die blanks that Supower brings to the market are divided into four categories. CXA, CXB and CXC adopt the first class PCD in the world market, and are sold after laser-cut, whereas CXD, the fourth item, is manufactured and processed by Supower itself. In 2006, Supower made breakthroughs in both quality and pass rate in aspect of self supported blanks. The quality and consistency could be tightly controlled, while its productivity has been increased at least 5 times when compared with that at the beginning of 2006. Based on a proprietary manufacturing process, Supower self-supported PCD wire drawing die exhibit a well sintered homogeneous structure, thus agglomeration and over growth are totally avoided. Due to its dense microstructure and properties, Supower diamond die blanks display ease and convenience for drilling and polishing, while they perform excellent surface finish and ultra-long service life. Overseas customers have been batch ordering 5-micron diamond die blanks in the stainless steel drawing applications. To meet the ever demanding need of the market, Supower self-supported cobalt based PCD die blanks would be classified into two groups, in which CXD-A stands for the top grade, and CXD-B represents the conventional grade. Compared with imported competitors, CXD-A displays undoubtedly better consistency, equal surface finish and similar service life. CXD-A is ideal for customers who have high expectations in the quality and consistency of the products, and it has been replacing first class diamond die blanks worldwide. The quality of Supower newly produced CXD-B is a bit better than last year. It is single side polished and the polished side is recommended to be the exit of the wire dies. CXD-B is well suited for customers who attach major importance to cost. All the CXD die blanks produced before 2007 would be sold as conventional grade. CXD-B is to become the most competitive China made product in the medium-low level die blanks for its regular qualities and very competitive price. 2. CVD diamond wire drawing die (thermally stable to 1000°C) After over two years commitment in this field, Supower offers premium quality CVD diamond wire die blanks, whose applications mainly target drawing of tungsten, molybdenum as well as some hard steel wires. Ultra-long service life and excellent surface finish, together with major discount offered in 2007, would bring new benefits to the customers. 3. CXT diamond wire drawing die (thermally stable to 1000°C) CXT has been formerly applied as dressing logs and drill bits. After a number of trials in 2006, Supower CXT die blanks have been recognized by customers from the Occident. CXT diamond die blanks are recommended to for hot drawing of tungsten and molybdenum, their surface finish and tool life are not as good as CVD diamond, yet they display much better performances than conventional PCD products made in mainland of China, and the price is lower than CXD die blanks. Therefore, CXT is bound to be popularized in hot drawing of tungsten and molybdenum. 4. Tungsten carbide supported die blanks After one years trial use, Supower has added tungsten carbide supported die blanks, namely CXDW, to its comprehensive product range. Polishing one side of the diamond die blanks is one of the patents of the Supower company, and it is the image of Supower as well. For CXD and CVD diamond die blanks, the polished side is recommended to be the exit of the wire dies. The polishing of CXT diamond die blanks is unnecessary.
