cold box resin cold box resinPRODUCT DESCRIPTIONGP Series Cold Box Resin is a two-part foundry binder. Part I is a phenolic resin solution and part II is a polyisocyanate.Technology Characters:a. Quick ambient temperature curing, good fluidity during sand mixing, high strength, good collapsibilityb. Low gas evolution, clean casting surface, high precise of casting size.c. High production efficiencyd. Long bench lifee. Suitable for all cast metals.DIRECTION FOR USEa. Mixing Technologyb. Total resin addition ratio is 1.5-2% of sand weight.Addition ratio of Part I/Part II is from 40/60 to 60/40, usually 50/50. More Part I equals higher immediate strength. Mix cold box resin part I with sand for 1 minute, then add part II for 2 minutes.c.Selection of Technology ParametersThis series of products use TEA as hardener to produce core. 2% TEA should be mixed with the carrier gas, and then introduce to the mixed sand in the core box cavities. 0.45-1.0 kg TEA will be needed to harden 1000 kg of mixed sand. The carrier gas can be compressed dry air or nitrogen gas.The mixed sand blow pressure will depend on the size and complexity of the sand core and the core machine. Normally, it should be higher than 0.5 Mpa.PRECAUTIONSa. Products should be kept in cold and dry place out of direct sunlight. Seal the drum tightly to avoid water contamination - especially for Part II.b. A slight irritation may result if this product comes in contact with the skin. When handling any chemical, proper safety gear should always be employed. Chemical resistant gloves, clothes, and eye protection should always be used when handling or using chemical binders and catalysts.
