As a part of brake system of freight trains, combined type brake beams were researched and developed by Shougang Donghua Machinery Factory In 2002. Six brake beams made by us have been tested in CNR Sifang Rolling Research Institute and satisfyingly completed static test, static strength test and fatigue test in June, 2003. Since August of 2003, Shougang Donghua Machinery Factory has been manufacturing combined type brake beams covered by approval of Chinese Ministry of Railways. Our factory cost is the lowest among manufacturers. Performance and specifications of combined type brake beams are shown below. 1. Yield strength: σs≥420Mpa2. -40°C low-temperature dynamic ductility: AKV≥27J3. Fatigue life cycles of dynamic test are 1.0×106.4. Deflection load: Fn＝103.5KN, set load: Fyj＝155.3KN safety factor load: Faq＝232.9KN, tangential load: Fq＝21.6KN. Process flow of combined type brake beams is as follows: 1.
