Active USB Extension Cable 16ft Active USB cables allow you to run external USB based devices without the need for extra power adapters. The end of the cable has a signal repeater/booster that strengthens both the data signal and USB power at its weakest point. Ideal uses for these cables include external DVD and hard drives, cameras, or any other external peripheral that requires a power adapter up to 500mA.
