Description: YFA-WFA is produced by fusing aluminablockin an electric arc furnace under carefully controlled conditions. The material produced is white in color, dense and has predominantly large crystals of Alpha Alumina. Ingots are crushed, ground, and precision screened in our new sizing plant to obtain very consistent sized fractions. Magnetic iron from crushing is removed by rare earth magnets to ensure very low levels of iron in the finished products. Close sized fractions are available or precision blended to specification. This process ensures a very consistent sizing from coarse to fines which is critical in many applications. Applications: YFA-WFAis designed for general industrial use in operations such as lapping, polishing, refractory coating for investment cast shells, decorative non-skid tile, and pressure blasting.
