- Fully enclosed, non-ventilated industrial conveyor-belt drive - Simple, solid construction - Gearbox and electric Motor housed in an oil bath for lubrication and heat conduction - Drum end-caps fitted with oil seals with dust lips. Seals run on hardened stainless steel bushes and are protected from damage by means of an additional metal seal - Inside of the drum motor designed so that both squared mounting shafts are rigidly connected, thus transferring the reaction torque to both sides of the conveyor frame - Gears manufactured from alloyed casehardened steel ground and/or honed to a high quality finish ensuring low noise level and longevity - Ball and needle bearings installed with a high factor of safety - Power supplied direct to the stator (standard insulation class “F”) without the use of slip rings or brushes - Surface area of shell machined convex to assist belt tracking - Oil level can be checked/changed without removing drum from the conveyor frame - Most of drum motors supplied as standard with a terminal box - All drum motors supplied as standard IEC norm. Sealed to minimum IP66/IP67 - CSA approved drum motors can be supplied upon request - Backstop (anti run-back) or electromechanical brakes can be fitted - Drum motors can be supplied in Stainless steel-304 - Most of drum motors are CE marked drum motor
