On the basis of the principle of Near-Infrared absorption, the instrument adopts the multiband of near-infrared measurement: the modulated Near-Infrared light from the receiving process part shines to the measured object which reflected the infrared light return to receiving process part and the photoconverter transforms the optical signal to electrical signal which through the microcomputer data processing, the result can be displayed by monitor. The measured object can be mealiness, graininess, threadiness or schistose. Therefore, the instrument can be widely used in industry of paper, tobacco, pharmacy, printing and dyeing, building materials and so on.
