1. Brief introduction MCA contains triazine benzenoid structure, which is absolutely stable. Besides, because of the conjugative effect of big electron cloud, of the MCA benzenoid structure is even more stable. With high nitrogen content, low toxicity of the decompounded product, MCA is a new type of fire-retardant appended to polyamide which caters to current trend. MCA can reduce surface temperature of the polymer material and isolate the air to block the combustion by “sublimation and decalescence”. The fire-retardant effect of MCA for polyamide is that the interacted expansile carbon layer on the surface in the course of heating ammonia and degradation.
