ZigBee HVAC Thermostat (STN100) is one of SensingTEK green products including LCD Control Panel and Wireless Power Board. The core technology is of the wireless communication. The temperature can be regulated as the environmental condition which is detected by sensor and the air-conditioning facility switch can be controlled directly thraough Wireless Power Board. SWT200 can be applied to any small fan and HVAC applications, and suitable to be installed in the living room or small space.By mounting STN100 on the interior wall, user can set up heat/cool, HVAC fan speed, indoor temperature, time, and switch energy saving/sleep modes from the LCD Control Panel.When STN100 enters energy saving management mode, it needs to comply with other sensors. When the motion sensor detects no one being in the room, HVAC will automatically adjust the temperature and power off; else, when the thermal radiation sensor detects the indoor temperature is higher than pre-set rate, it will automatically decrease the air-condition temperature to reach the purpose of energy saving.When STN100 enters sleeping mode, indoor HVAC will automatically adjust the temperature to the degree suits sleep most.Besides, LCD Control Panel has a built-in temperature sensor to detect ambient temperature and transmit data to Wireless Power Board. Temperature value can be set as the relay components of Wireless Power Board to switch heater/cooler automatically or fan devices.STN100 controls small fan and HVAC base on the information and condition received and sends the environmental status back to the central monitoring terminals through RS-485.The characteristics of wireless sensor networks are to reduce implementation costs, high scalability, and easy maintenance.
