Preheat must be required. (2)When surfacing on the transition layer, the thickness of transition layer surfacing should be reduced on the premise of ensuring weld forming.(3-3.5mm); while surfacing on the corrosion resistant layer, the thickness of corrosion resistant layer should be increased properly.(3.5-4mm) (3)In electroslag surfacing, using flat slope power source will be better. (4)From horizontal to 2°upslope welding is preferred for the surfacing position.
