The gas detector Technical parameters 1.Induced Gas Natural gas,LPG(liquid petroleum gas),Coal gas 2.Power DC12V/AC220V 50HZ 3.Operating Current 50mA-400mA10%LEL 4.Alarm Concentration 10%LEL 5.Buzzer Volume: ≥70db at 1m 6.Operating Condition -10°C +50°C Relative humidity: <90%RH 7.Stability: under long time working condition, the discrepancy ≤±5%LEL 8.Repeatability: repeating alarm tests, discrepancy ≤±5%LEL 9.Alarm Sensitivity , discrepancy: ≤±5%LEL 10.Alarming Pattern: Acousto-optic alarm, Start valve controller, input networking signal 11.Power Consumption: ≤5W Firstly, the necessary testing is to determine the gas is heavier than air or is lighter than air: heavier than air gases are liquefied petroleum gas, etc.; lighter than air gases are natural gas, carbon monoxide, artificial gas, and biogas; Install the alarm in the right place according to the weight of the gas. (Refer to picture 3 on the right). When the gas is heavier than air: The alarm must be mounted over the ground and the height must be more than 31cm, and be away from the gas source within 1.5 meters radius. When the gas is lighter than air: The alarm must be mounted under the ceiling and the height must be less than 31cm, and be away from the gas source within 1.5 meters radius. Fix the mounting plate on the chosen position and then probe the detector into it and to have a check whether it is fastened or not. (Refer to picture4 on the right) (1) More attention should be paid when install it in the household. (2) Close distance to gas stoves is not permitted, in case of the heat of the stove flames. The position with heavy smoke should be avoided too, to prevent the mistaken alarm or the bad ventilation which may affect the sensitivity of the alarm.. (3) The alarm should not be placed around the ventilating fan or the windows or the shower room where the vapor is heavy. The white plug wire is just the AC 220V power cord.(If you use the AC 220V, then you only need the Acousto-optic alarm, there won’t be any red, black, yellow, blue, green wires along with the alarm. And if you use the DC 12V, then there won’t be a AC 220V power cord along with the alarm.) Update Date:2010/11/09 1:44:16
