Yankee hood is composed of 2 separate parts with one part at dry end and the other part at wet end. The temperature of impingement air is 145 and the impingement velocity is 60m/s. The exterior hood plate will be stainless steel, thickness: 1.5mm, and the wrap angle of four corners of hood will be stainless steel, thickness: 2mm. The interior hood plate will be made of 2mm Corten A. The air duct will be made of 3mm Corten A, nozzles will be made of 6mm stainless steel. Framework is constructed from rectangular steel tubes by welding. When hood is assembled, a special assembly tool will be used to make sure that the arc line formed by nozzles keeps a certain distance with dryer surface. Between the exterior casing plate and the interior casing plate is the insulation of centrifugal glass fiber with density 48kg/m3, thickness: 75mm. The two halves of hood can be opened and closed by cylinder under the assistance of a series mechanism like supports, slide rails and pulley in case the sheet threading and hood cleaning is required. The control used to compress air is hand-operated valve, control panel of cylinder and metallic pipeline from control panel to cylinder belong to the scope of supply. The whole Yankee hood is supported by rectangular steel framework. There is stainless steel covered on the framework, thickness: 1.5mm, we will set walkway convenient for connecting the air duct on drive side of the hood, hand railing and walkway board is made of carbon steel. Inspection door is on the hood body to facilitate cleaning and inspection. The air inlet and the air outlet on hood are designed at drive side. In order to open the hood, the air inlet and the air outlet are connected with flexible joints.
