The vStar DMA4000T&R system transmits audio and video signals from the DMA4000-T unit to the DMA3000-R unit, over Amedia's proprietary 5 GHz wireless network, by encoding the signals according to MPEG standards. The T unit can be embedded in a Video Source device (DVD, VCR, PVR, STB, or PC). The R unit can be embedded in a Video Display device (TV, flat panel or video monitors). The IR function enables the user to control the Video Source devices from a remote TV. The user can use the original remote control of the video source devices (such as DVD) by pointing the remote control at an IR receiver located at the R unit. The IR signals are conveyed by the wireless network to the T unit. Discrete I/O ports can interface to LEDs and buttons. Power supply: DC 5V/2A Range: 100m Key features: 1) Wireless communication at 5 GHz, 2) Supports 4.9 to 5.9 GHz frequency band and is controlled by software to comply with different country spectrum requirements. 3) Dynamic frequency selection for resisting interferences. 4) Close-loop power control to minimize power consumption and be a friendly neighbor to other WLAN networks at 5 GHz. 5) Guaranteed full QoS transporting of multimedia contents. 6) Secure networking to assure privacy and content rights protection. 7) Transmission of IR control signals to the video source devices from the TV location. 8) MPEG-2 standard video compression and decompression. 9) Auto detection of NTSC and PAL.
