Copper, brass alloy and brass ingot are the typical the raw materials used in casting the body of faucets. The techniques used in casting the faucet bodies are gravity casting, mold casting, and sand casting. The casted faucet walls can bear over 6kg of water pressure per cm2 . The hollow core of the faucet is made by using a sand core. To form the sand core, a special mixture of sand, resin, and curing agent is molded into the shape of the faucet core. The benefit of quality casting over regular casting is the faucets created from quality casting come out with a smoother surface, making it easier for further processing. At the same time, quality casting helps maintain consistent product quality and products with less air hole. Processing Further processing is required for the body and parts of a faucet. The processing occurs along the production in a flowing method. The faucet is progressively processed at each station in the production line. Polishing and Grinding Polishing machinery is used to polish the surface of faucets and spare parts to increase its shine. After three layers of coating of copper, chromium, and cast our faucets are made wear-resistant with a longer lasting shine. Other experiments are also used to test the corrosion resistance, adhesion properties an, wear ability of the plated surface. Assembling After the faucet body and parts have been plated, they are ready to be assembled. The most important part of the faucet is the ceramic cartridge. Depending on clients demand, Walrus can assemble faucets with local cartridges or cartridges imported from Taiwan, France, Italy, or Spain.
