Potassium Ion Selective Electrode

Type 401 PotassiumIon Selective Electrode Directions:This electrode is an electrochemical sensor used for measuring the concentration of calcium ion in solution. Characteristics (1) Linear range: 100_5×10-6mol/l (2) Measuring range: 1-10-6mol/l (3) pH range: 4-10 (4) Temperature 0-45oC (5) Response time <1min (6) Internal resistance <12MΩ(25) Note (1) Prior to use, twist off the electrode head and fill the internal solution up to four-fifth of internal cell. Twist back the head on electrode slowly so let the sensitive PVC membrane (put a wad of cotton ball under the PVC membrane) not to protrude too much. The electrode should be soaked in solution of 10-2mol/l KCl for over 30 min, then rinsed with deionized water up to blank potential of about-160mV. (2) After measurement, the electrode should be rinsed with deionized water to the blank potential of about-160mV. If no use in a long time, twist off the electrode head, swing it so that the internal filling solution retained on the Ag/AgCl electrode may be cleaned, then absorb with filter paper to dry, take shelter from light while storing. (3) The reference electrode used may order the saturated calomel electrode with double junction of type 803 made by our factory. In internal salt bridge is filled with saturated solution of KCl (G.R. grade) and the external salt bridge is filled with 0.1M LiA or LiCl solution. (4) The internal filling solution is a solution of 10-2mol/l KCl. If customer wants to prepare yourself, you can use it only after maturity for 12 hrs. (5) The electrode cable and plug should be kept dry.
