Micro-heat Regeneration Compressed Air Dryer is a device that adopts micro-heat regeneration method to dry the compressed air in line with principle of pressure swing absorption. Under certain pressure, it makes the compressed air flow through the absorbent (dry) bed in a bottom-up way; under low temperature and high pressure, the water vapor in the compressed air causes shifting to the absorbent surface (i.e. the absorbent absorbs the moisture in the air until basic balance is achieved) to dry the compressed air, which is called the adsorption (regeneration) process.
When the pressure of the dried air (regenerated air) drops, gas expansion occurs when heated. Again, when the dried air contacts with the water-saturated absorbent, the moisture in the absorbent shifts to the regenerated air until the balance point and the absorbent is dried, which is desorption (regeneration) process.
That is to say, under low temperature or high pressure, the moisture is absorbed (processed); and under high temperature or low pressure, the moisture is desorbed (regenerated).
Micro-heat Regeneration Compressed Air Dryer is a kind of absorption dryer that is developed by combining both advantages of heat absorption and heatless absorption compressed air dryers. This dryer bypasses the disadvantages of the heatless absorption compressed air dryer that has short shifting time and losses of a large quantity of regenerated air, and in the meantime, this dryer also has overcome the drawback of large consumption of electricity of the heat regeneration compressed air dryer. This dryer is the most economical energy-saving absorption compressed air dryer in the purification industry at present and is widely applied to various industries including electronics, food, metallurgy, electric power, chemical industry, petroleum, pharmaceutical, textile, tobacco, instruments, meters, automation and other industries.
This dryer is twin-tower structured and both towers are filled with absorbent (dryer). When one absorption tower is going through drying process, the other tower is undergoing desorption process.
