Introduction of TKM1 MCCB series (1)Features 1.1High Breaking Capacities and Compact Design Adoption of Toshiba new magnetic drive breaking Since Taishiba has initiated the technical cooperation program with Toshiba to manufacture molded case circuit breakers(MCCB) over three decades, our TKM1 series circuit breakers offer high performance and reliability. high-speed breaking mechanism and new magnetic drive tripping technology are employed to attain high current-limiting capacity. High-speed repulsion contact The speed of separating contacts has been increased by using the electromagnetic repulsion force between parallel conductors. Absorption of arc energy and cooling High-temperature gas generated in the arc-extinguishing chamber is rapidly cooled by a new, double-arc filter structure and discharged through the exhaust outlet. High-current limiting, arc-extinguishing device Current-limiting characteristics are remarkably improved through the installation of a magnetic Drive iron core and gas generating narrow-gap insulation wall against the arc column. 1.2 Design of Modular Structure Realization of reduced external dimension and expanded breaking capacities has immensely contributed to decreasing the panel size and improving the modular structure. TKM1 series pursuit of modular structure has resulted in unified dimension of the economical type (E),the standard type(S),and high performance type (P&H). 1.3 Flexible Application Easy mounting Two screws to mount circuit breaker body Only two screws are used for mounting all types MCCBs below 225AF(except for TKM1-225EB), creating merits of quicker installation and reduced man-hours. Unified terminal height Terminal height has been unified on all types below 225AF.Also,the bending process of copper bars is no longer required. Internal accessories *Standard mounting of trip buttons Trip buttons for sequence checks are provided on all series models as standard item. *optional accessories Alarm Switch (S) Provides for indication that the MCCB has tripped. Auxiliary Switch (A) Provides for indication of whether the MCCB is ON or OFF. Shunt trip (V) Provides to achieve remote tripping of MCCB. Udervoltage trip (L) When main circuit voltage drops below 70% of this designated level,or when no-voltage status is created ,MCCB is tripped. Also, remote tripping of MCCB from its exterior is possible. The MCCB cannot be reclosed even by operating the handle 85% or more of voltage is recoverd. External accessories Handle operating mechanism Available in two types: H(rotary-square) type and F(rotary-round )type. These mechanism are chiefly employed to facilitate MCCB locking at either ON or OFF position. Motor operator By installing this motor-operated mechanism on top of MCCB, remote operation of ON, OFF, and reset is possible. Standard operation of motor is by 110V or 220V. Be sure to specify the operating voltage such as AC 110V,220V or DC 24V, because this voltage is related to rating of the control relay. Unified dimension of flush plates Mounting pitch dimension and lengths of flush plates up to 225AF have been unified. panel standardization now is much simpler.(except for TKM1-225EB) (2)Scope of application *Conformity to the standard: GB14048.2, IEC60947-2, EN60947-2,CNS 14816-2,JIS C8370 *Series composition : the TKM1 MCCB series classify into four types according to different interrupting capacity(IC). *Economical type(E): an economical compact design allowing reduction in equipment cost. the IC has shown between 10kA and 25kA during the operating voltage at 380V for frame sizes 100AF to 250AF. *Standard type(S): a standard type is suitable for general use. The IC has shown on 35kA during the operating voltage at 380V from 100AF to 800AF. *Powerful type(P): a powerful type is suitable for high interrupting capacity(IC). the IC has shown on 50kA during the operating voltageat 380V from 100AF to 600AF. on the other hand, the IC of sole 1200AF type(700.800.1000,1200A) has shown on 85kA during the operating voltage at 380V. *High performance(H): a high-performance type is suitable for higher short-circuit application. The IC has shown on 65kA during the operating voltage at 380V from 400AF to 600AF.
