PTFE has a wide range of practicable temperature and has the lowest coefficient of friction of all known solid materials. There are two types of PTFE rods(teflon bars). The rod with diameter of 4 - 9mm is made by paste extrusion of dispersion polymerized PTFE resin; teflon rod with diameter of 10 - 50mm is made by ram extruding method, and teflon rods over the diameter 50mm are manufactured by molding. PTFE has the lowest coefficient of friction of all known solid materials. It has the best electrical properties of all plastics.
