Guest Room Smart Switch JB-LD/JB-EL/JB-EM/JB-JC/JB-JA Series Switch 1. DESCRIPTION: 1) The Guestroom Smart Switch series, a low voltage switch input for lighting, fan, drape or similar application, is a member of JOBO's Integrated Room Automation System and is available in various models. 2) The series switch is available in European standard size wall plates, Custom size plates are also available. 3) The series switch can be equipped with up to buttons to meet application specific requirements. Additionally, each buttons is back lit by LED's that acts as an indicator or pilot light depending on the assigned function. 2. APPLICATION: 1) The series switch is typically used as a low voltage input to control switched lights, a group of lights or to set light scenes. In addition to controlling lights it can be used to request services such as butler, maid etc. 2) The series switch is connected to a module where the functions assigned to each switch are stored in software. This module is then connected to load bearing relays or dimmers that control lighting or other. When the switch is configured with multiple buttons, each button is assigned a separate function for controlling the light or lights 3) When it is a member of the JOBO's Integrated Room Automation System, any button on the switch can be configured to control lights or functions associated with any other device that is a member of the JOBO's Integrated Room Automation System, Master ON/OFF and light scenes are typically used in this case. However, functions other than light control such as Do Not Disturb, Make-Up-Room and others can be assigned to these buttons. 3. OPERATION: 1) The series switch uses momentary contact switches that provide a relevant response when pressed, Switch button functionally can be blank or identified with an ICON or text. The LED's operate as a pilot light, providing visual orientation in a dark room or an indicator light to show visual status depending on the function of the button. 2) When a dimmer switch is used to a quick press of the buttons will toggle the light ON or OFF, When the button is pressed held, the light brightness will ramp up or down depending on the configuration. 3) When a light is toggled ON or OFF, the switch slowing ramps the light on or off providing a “soft” response to the function being performed. 4.
