Brief Introductin: Fused magnesia-alumina spinel, using alumina and high purity light-burnt magnesia as main starting materials, fusing in electric arc furnace and cooled, is a new kind of high purity synthesized refractory raw material. Fused magnesia-alumina spinel is characterized by high bulk density, good thermal shock resistance and corrosion resistance. It is testified that, addition of fused magnesia-alumina spinel can improve the slag resistance and thermal shock resistance of refractory products, fabricated parts and monolithic refractories.
