There are lots of customers don’t have a clear understanding with the real meaning of “H-Beam processing line”, FMC now will give you a thoroughly explanation: The H-Beam Processing Line is different with H-Beam Production. H-Beam Processing Line consists of CNC H-Beam Drilling Machine, NC Band-Sawing Machine, CNC H-Beam Coping Machine, and Material Handling System (often stated “conveyors”). While, H-Beam Production Line consists of CNC/NC Flame/Plasma Cutting Machine, H-Beam Spot Welding/ Assembling Machine, H-Beam Submerged Arc Welding Machine, H-Beam Straightening Machine, H-Beam Turning & Transmitting Devices, and Normal Conveyors. H-Beam Processing Line’s function is to drill high-precision holes and mark job-numbers/characters on the H-Beam, cut the H-Beam with required length, bevel/ cope the ends of beams. H-Beam Production Line’s function is to weld the flat sheets (flanges plates and web plates) to be H-Beams. Now, let’s make a more detailed analysis of each part of the “H-Beam Processing Line”: 1. Drilling System We designed BD Series CNC Beam Drilling Machine as the first key element of the whole processing line. BD Series includes 4 models: BD1000, BD1250, BD1250/9, and BD1220D, which are able to drill holes, mark job-numbers/characters and mark layout on the Beams. BD1000 and BD1250’s capacity varies from 150 x 75mm (Web x Flange) and up to 1250 x 600mm (Web x Flange). The machines have 3 drilling spindles as a basic & standard design providing precise drill for small fabricators. BD1250/9 have 3 spindles each of which support 3 drilling heads, so totally, BD1250/9 have 9 drilling heads. which enable the machine make different Dia. holes on the beams. The powerful workhorse can satisfy nearly all hole-making jobs for light/medium steel fabrication. BD1220D have 3 high-speed drilling spindles armed with tool changers for each spindle. The feeding model is CNC carrier which also can benefit the band-sawing machine. This model was designed for space-limited fabricators. 2. Sawing System 3 type sawing system with different sawing capacities were carried out in 2007. They are BBSW700, BBSW1000, and BBSW1250. The saw rack is held and supported by 2 columns which guides the up & down movement. The basic design of the band-saw strictly followed the physical principle, which is to let the saw rack auto falling by its gravity to provide vertical feeding force which is also rate-sub-controlled by the hydraulic system to protect the saw blade. All FMC Saws are simple, functional, easy operating to enable you with continuous & low cost production. 3. Coping System We are glad to introduce the H-Beam Coping system which designed & manufactured by our USA partner—AMTEK LTD. The key part of the coping machine is a robot plasma / flame torch with 5 CNC axes installed on a flat tray with X-Y movement. It can nearly cut by any degrees on the H-Beam/ U Channel/ Box Beam/ Angles or Flat Bars. The torch being equipped with a laser alignment device can detect the right position for cutting and beveling. Not like other copping system, this machine doesn’t require the operator to know “what he is doing” because it can read the program automatically and cut with no limitation. It’s a smart, low cost, and flexible system suitable for all steel fabricators. By now, we have sold over 200 of this model since 2002. 4. Material Handling System Most people would like to say “the Material Handling System” is so-called “conveyors”, and here, we have to correct your idea, FMC designed Material Handling System is a smart system with individual or combined control console to accomplish precise transmission for the profiles. Longitudinal Material Handling System The control console of such system can be integrated into the host machine’s control system to enable the control more flexible. All hydraulic components are connected by hydraulic pipes. The Hydraulic Force output from the host machine’s hydraulic station. Cross Material Handling System The standard configuration of Cross Material Handling System is composed of 4 sets of Cross Conveyors with Buggies for beam shifting purpose. The 4 sets of cross conveyors are connected by 3 sets of axial bars synchronous driven by motors and totally controlled by an individual control console.
