UltrasonicRat Expeller Product Description: These battery-operated molechasers are simple to use, humane for the moles and very effective. Just push the waterproof spike into the ground and switch on. How does it work? Moles are more or less blind, but they compensate by being highly sensitive to vibrations in the ground - which might be a predator borrowing down to attack them. The molechaser creates a deep, powerful noise (inaudible to humans) that emulates potential predators, causing moles to vacate the area. When the device is working, you'll hear a bleeping sound every 30 seconds or so - this is not the noise the moles hear, it's so you can be sure the device is working. What size area does it cover? This depends on the type of ground you've got. Chalky ground transmits noise more effectively than sand, for example. We expect it to cover a circle of 15 metres (50ft) around the molechaser (7850 sq feet).
