Cat5E UTP Cable TheCat5E cable is indispensable for LANs connection. The daily-used network cable mainly contains 3 sorts: twisted-pair, coaxial cable and fiber cable. What we daily mentioned is Twist-Pair cable, it is a data transmission cable which made up of pairs of lines. For the Twist-Pair cable, it can be divided into UTP and STP. Inside the twist-pair cable of the STP, there is a metal isolating membrane which can reduce the electromagnetic interference so as to insure the stability during transmission. While for UPT, since there is no metal solating membrane, the stability is inferior to the former, however, it is cheaper than STP. The Twist-Pair cable we commonly use are Cat.3, Cat.5 , ultra-Cat.5 and the up-to-date Cat.6. The wire diameter of the first 3 kinds is thin while the last is thick.
