Billiards cloth Manufacturing Process: 1) Blending - To mix different kinds or grades of cotton FIBERS to produce YARN possessing characteristics that could not be obtained from any one of the cottons if used alone. 2) Carding - The process of separating and cleaning cotton FIBERS to prepare them for SPINNING 3) Spinning - The process of making YARN from cotton FIBERS by drawing out and twisting the FIBERS into a thin strand. 4) Warping - The operation of winding WARP YARN onto a BEAM in suitable arrangement for use as WARP in the LOOM. 5) Weaving - The interlacing of WARP and FILLING YARN to form a cloth. 6) Dyeing - The application and fixation of dyestuffs to a fabric with the intention of obtaining a uniform distribution of colour throughout the fabric 7) Finishing -A series of processes either chemical or physical which are applied to a fabric to impart a unique desired effect. This equipment includes raising machines used to lift fibres to improve fabric handle, boiling and blowing machines used to set fabrics, padding machine used to apply chemical finishes and brushing machines used to improve fibre alignment. 8) Conversion - the process utilising a variety of techniques such as cutting, sewing ,eyeleting and punching, all of which are used to produce finished products which match precise customer specifications. 9) Printing -The production of a design or motif on a fabric in a predetermined pattern by the application of colour usually in the form of paste or ink. 10) Quality Control -The maintenance of product quality by regular inspection and testing at critical stages along the manufacturing process. 11) Knitting -The process of construction a fabric by the interlocking of rows of loops of yarn by means of needles.
