Annually 500,000 piecesof grate bar capacity,offer superior technology. This technology was developed with the Japanese and has provided higher useful life of the grate bars. We use the Lost Foam Casting process and the pouring is made under controlled vacuum. This means that the sand does not have any addition of chemical binders. Thepattern is hardened/compressed by the vacuum pressure. This technique provides castings with high soundness and also with high dimensional accuracy. The vacuum condition decreases the cooling time dramatically, so the grain size is reduced. Also, we add special elements in the alloy for more grain refinement, what increases the hardness and gives increased impact strength. Finally, the surface quality of the grate bars made ourprocess is better than bars made by any other technique with a very smooth surface.
