Standard sheath material is S.S.304; Other sheath material like Zinc Platted M.S. or Brass is also available. Band heaters may be supplied in one piece or two piece construction .The specially designed tightening clamp provides full and even closure for maximum heat transfer. A variety of Terminal type and location is possible to meet any installation need. Depending upon the Volt and Wattage a suitable size of the resistance wire is selected as per the recommendation of the resistance wire manufacturer. This wire is wound on premium mica to form a coil. The coil is placed between the Mica sheets and is then enclosed in metal enclosure. The element wire is terminated on a brass strip from where the lead wires are taken out further. These strips are covered with a ventilated terminal box.
