AG-838 Silicone Weatherproofing Sealant Description AG-838 Silicone Weatherproofing sealant is a one-part, neutral-cure, architectural grade sealant specifically designed for general glazing and weather sealing in curtain wall and building facade. It can be easily extruded in a wide rang of weather condition and quickly cures at room temperature by reaction with moisture in the air to form a excellent , durable, flexible silicone rubber seal. Excellent adhesion to most construction materials without the primmer. d. Excellent weatherproof ability, virtually unaffected by sunlight, rain, snow, ozone or temperature extremes. e. Low modulus sealant. f. Extension/compression movement capability of up to ±50% of the original joint width. Where to use AG-838 is especially designed for general glazing and weather sealing in curtain wall and building facades. It is suitable for glazing weatherproofing movement joint and sealing the joints of the non-structural curtain wall. It can form a waterproofing sealed layer to many kinds of glasses, coated aluminum, decorative metal board, tile, and granite without primmer. Use limitations AG-838 silicone Weatherproofing sealant is not fit for structural usage. It should NOT be applied in the following conditions: a. To building materials that bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents and green or partially sulfur zed gaskets or tapes, etc. b. In totally confined spaces (Silicon sealant need the water in the air to cure) c. For continuous immersion into water or below-grade applications all the year d. Storage and usable life It has a useable life of 12 months from the produced date when stored under dry and airy,27°C or lower temperature conditions in the original unopened container. Handling Precautions 1. Sealant should not be contacted with food or cosmetics; 2. Do not contact skin for a long time with uncured sealant; 3. Rinse eyes with large quantities of water and seek medical check if sealant drops into eyes. 4. Sealant should be kept beyond children’s reach
