Polymerization in solution usually leads to insoluble, infusible powders with powder conductivity values up to 30 S/cm. Thin coatings prepared e.g. by spin-coating reveal conductivities of more than 200 S/cm. PEDT displays markedly better properties in comparison with other organic conductors such as polypyrrole and polyaniline.
