WATER TREATEMENT PLANT - THE CYCLE The waste water coming from the factory is collected into the main pit. The Submersed Pump (1) conveys the waste water into the Sedimentation Tank (2). This operation is automatically contemporary to the injection of the flocculant with the Dosing Pump (3) positioned on the Water-Flocculant Solution Tank (4). Inside the clarification / sedimentation tank (2) a clarification effect is reached through the flocculation of solid suspended particles by means of proper coagulant namely polyelectrolyte (flocculant). The sedimentation of floc in the static vertical flow follows the gravity principle achieving the clarification of the water. After this process the mud is concentrated at the bottom of the Sedimentation Tank (2) and the clean water is discharge at the top continuously for further re-use to the factory. The mud/sledge are automatically discharged by a Pneumatic Valve (6) into the Homogenizing Tank (7) where is properly suspended by a motorized agitator for preventing the settlement of solid particles. A Centrifugal Pump (8) takes the mud into the Filter Press (9).The mud enter the chamber between the plates where the water is filtered through the cloth-jackets going to the clean water pool or tank to be re-used. The solid particles remain inside the chamber of the plates and are continuously dehydrated until a cake like panel is formed. When there is not clean water coming from the filter press a sensor detects the end of the cycle. The PLC will stop the feeding pump (8) and start the Oil Pump (10) moving back the cylinder and opening the plates. A shaking device shakes the plates facilitating their falling into the Collection Tank (11) (optional).
