Residual current circuit breaker When the flow of current in an electrcal appliance is not balanced between the active conductor and neutral conductor, this may flow to the earth causing current leakage through the body of a person who comes into contact with the appliance.This contact may result in electric shock. The Residual Current Circuit Breaker in the RCBO is designed to detect current leakage and respond cutting power to the appliance quickly enough to prevent electrocution. Overload protection The RCBO switch is also designed to cut power from the Portable Power Station preventing damage to your electrical equipment in the event devices are incorrectly installed,suffer a short circuit or are rated in excess of 10 amps. Safely Test Button For added safety this portable power station is fitted with a test button allowing you to check that the RCBO is properly functioning. ALWAYS TEST BEFORE USE AND DISCONTINUE USE IF TEST FALLS. To test,plug Portable Power Station into power socket and turn power on. With the RCBO in the ON position,press the test button.Pressing the test button should trip the RCBO and cut power if it is functioning properly.If the RCBO fails to trip,discontinue use immediately. If the unit is functioning properly, reset power by moving the RCBO to the ON postion and use as normal. This product is designed to protect the safety of tradesmen and construciton workers, while providing maximum protection for valuable electrical equipment. IMPORTANT: The Portable Power Station should be used to provide additional electrical safety when using electrical appliances.It should not be used as a substitute to safe electrical practices and regular electrical safety maintenance in and around the home or workplace. This power station is suitable for devices rated 10 amps and under including, power drills,circular saws, jigsaws, grinders, chainsaws, hedge trimmers and vacuum cleaners. Always check the amp rating of your appliance before use with this portable power station. Plug directly into fixed power points only. Do not connect to the socket of on extension lead or other portable power supply sockets including powerboards. Ensure the 1.8m lead is completely incoiled before use. If the lead becomes damaged, discontinue use immediately Ensure RCBO is in the ON positon before use Always test RCBO before use according to the instructions on the side panel of this box. If the test button fails to trip power to connected appliances, discontinue use immediately and consult advice from a licensed electrician or the Distributor. If the RCBO on the Portable Power Station continually trips during operation, one or more of your electrical appliances may be faulty. If this is the case, discontinue use of Portable Power Station and have it checked by a licensed electrician. Connected appliances should also be checked by a licensed electrician. This unit has an IP33 weatherproof rating and is designed for use in dry conditions. Do not use or store in on area that may be exposed to rain, excess dust or dirt Never submerse in water or any other liquid Keep unit clean form dirt and dust by wiping with a dry cloth regularly Do not allow Power Station to come into contact with petroleum products, alkaline detergents or cleaners If the unit becomes damaged as a result of being dropped or submersed in water or another liquid, discontinue use and have a licensed electrician test the unit before using again Unplug all appliances before any inspection or repair of that equipment is attempted. Note, this product does not include any serviceable parts and repairs should only be attempted by a licensed electrician . If the unit is not working and is covered within the warranty period, return to place of purchase . This Portable Power Station provides protection against faults to earth through the body. It does not provide protection against electric shock caused by neutral faults on an electrical circuit.
