Features: Compared with traditional metal bearing, ceramic ball bearing is featured in following aspects: 1. Has higher limit speed. SI3N4 is lighter than metal, and can effectively restrain the centrifugal force, therefore enhances the limit speed. 2. More precise: Si3N4 has higher hardness and elastic modulus than steel, which means ceramic ball bearing is stiffer, more rigid than steel bearing, thus can be used in higher precision condition. 3. Longer life: Si3N4 leads to lower centrifugal force, thus extends bearing life. Furthermore, friction coefficient of Si3N4 is lower than steel, which also extends bearing life. 4. Electric isolation resulted from Si3N4 ball. 5. Could work under poor lubrication or no lubrication; 1) No stick between Si3N4 ball and steel race under poor lubrication; 2) Si3N4 ball never rust, so bearing can still rotate for a long time even when the steel race is eroded or rusts.
