Our company has autonomously developed the biomass boiler combustion technology, stock preparation & feedstock technology, and system integration technique of power complete equipment on biomass power station. They have successfully solved the difficult problem which is that biomass fiber cannot be burnt to generate electricity with high water content, high potassium content, high silicium content, and low calorific value. Among them, the biomass boiler combustion technology has been authoritatively approved as the domestic patent. Since this combustion technology has been accomplished by our successful researching, it has broken this phase that the related insustry in China cannot but import the technology, and hence it has filled up the technology blank in the domestic industry. The “ biomass fiber combustion technology” can be applied to solve the problems which are biological waster residue and sluge resulting from the production process in pulp & paper enterprise, and simultaneously used for biomass power plant. If a biomass power plant adopts a whole set of sevice such as the design, equipment selection, technical training, and technical support which are provided by our company, it is affirmative for the biomass power plant to acquire a complete equipment of power generation with high price quality and the one-time investment costs of power generation complete equipment can be reduced by 40%. Furthermore, it is more important that this complete equipment is able to handle the biomass fiber with 40% high water content. This project technology has been carried out in domestc and foreign pulp & paper mills as well as biomass power plants in Malaysia; where the equipment operation is dependable and the cost-effectiveness is notable. 1.kernel technology: 1)combustion technology on biomass boiler Based on the features of large quantity biomass waste residue from paper mill and biomass wastes of southeast asia palm fiber & fruit bunch shell with high water content and high potassium content, this technology has been developed specially aiming to the feastures. The technology is initiated at first in China and first case in world. Now, with this technology is able to burn out the biomass with 40% water content and high potassium content definitely when the diesel oil is not needed to take part in the combustion. However the combustion manner is different from common way, this is a suspended combustion manner with spraying the fuel into the space of hearth and able to reduce the accumulation of palm fruit shell and fiber on the fire grate so as to avoid overburning to bring about severe slag-bonding.2)stock preparation & feedstock technology Usually the water content of palm fiber & fruit bunch shell is high to 50%. After cutting, the water content is still high around 40% and the fiber is too long so that the fiber mass is very easy to result in intertwining, blocking, and bridging problems. For working out the blocking problem, it is needed to use the modified double roll type of feeding machine, which feature is the gap between two rolls can be regulated and not easy to block. Among the conveying equipments in a power station, the scraper conveyor can be also used to solve the intertwining and bridging problems with the control technique of variable frequency, which can control the feeding volume to achieve a uniformity to supply for the boiler by means of the variable frequency to control the rotate speed, and then the fuel is blown into the hearth for combustion by high pressure air. 2.technical advantages In the international market at the moment, there are only these countries such Danmark, Belgium, Germany and so on to own the biomass fiber combustion technology. Shanghai Power Company has compared their technical routes among these European companys and become a first enterprise with this technology in China now. In the same way, the company has provided the biomass fiber combustion technology project to give powerful technical supports for numerous related chinese rnterprises until now. the company technical advantages are shown as follow: (1) it is not necessary to pretreat and dry the biomass fuel of high water content, also it is not required to spout the large quantity of diesel to assist the combustion while the biomass boiler is starting up. (2) the frequency converter technique has been used for the devices of stock preparation and feedstock system of biomass fuel and the biomass power plant operation can be managed by DCS system so as to save energy of 15%. (3) it is remarkable to make energy saving and emission reducing and lower down CO2 discharge. 3.market In Southeast Asia, the palm fiber and fruit shell bunch resource is very abundant and concentrated. Each year these palm oil mills in Indonesia and Malaysia will generate more than 4,000,000 metric tons of biomass wastes of palm fiber and fruit shell bunch, furthermore the wood wastes, straw, palm fiber as well as various fruit shells of hard shell category as biomass resource volume in other southeast asia countries such as Philippines, Thailand, cambodia and so on are inclusive on the statistics, it is estimated the total volume shall be more than 90,000,000 metric tons. if Indonesia and Malaysia utilized all biomass wastes from their palm oil mills to generate electricity, the total installed capacity of power generation should reach to 2750MW in Malaysia and 2250MW in Indonesia so that the total installed capacity of power generation in the two countries should be 5000MW in total. Our country is also a larger country of developing agriculture and its straw resource is very abundant, thus, the prospect in developing the power generation of biomass combustion technology shall be broad and brilliant in future.
